Boswellia
60 vegetarian capsules per bottle 500 mg. each
Indications:
a. bursitis
b. osteoarthritis
c. rheumatoid arthritis
d. ulcerative colitis
Historical or traditional use:
In the ancient Ayurvedic medical texts of India, the gummy exudate
from boswellia is grouped with other gum resins and referred to
collectively as guggals. Historically, the guggals were recommended
for a variety of conditions including arthritis, diarrhea, dysentery,
pulmonary disease, and ringworm.
The gum oleoresin consists of essential oils, gum, and terpenoids.
The terpenoid portion contains the boswellic acids that have been
shown to be the active constituents in boswellia. Today, extracts
are typically standardized to contain 37.5-65% boswellic acids.
Studies have shown that the boswellic acids have an anti-inflammatory
action-much like the conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs (NSAIDs) used by many for inflammatory conditions. Boswellia
inhibits pro-inflammatory mediators in the body, such as leukotrienes.2
As opposed to NSAIDs, long-term use of boswellia does not lead
to irritation or ulceration of the stomach.
How much should I take? The standardized extract of the gum oleoresin
of boswellia is recommended. For rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis,
many people take 150 mg three times per day. As an example, if
an extract contains 37.5% boswellic acids, 400 mg of the extract
should be taken three times per day. Treatment with boswellia
generally lasts eight to 12 weeks.
Comments:
Boswellia is the premier Ayurvedic herb to help the body deals
with all sorts of inflamatory issues. The Latin name is Salai
Guggul. It is an Ayurvedic herb that contains anti-inflammatory
triterpenoids called boswellic acid. Boswellic acid and its derivatives
have anti-carcinogenic, anti-tumor, and anti-hyperlipidemic activities.
Boswellic acids are effective anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic
agents, for both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, soft
tissue rheumatism, and low back pain. Boswellia helps ease osteoarthritis
and rheumatoid problems. It has been shown to lessen morning stiffness
and increase joint mobility. Boswellia Serrata's anti-inflammatory
properties can help to reduce aching and stiffness, especially
when associated with low back pain.. Boswellia is also known to
help control certain inflammatory bowel diseases. It appears to
reduce the inflammation associated with ulcerative colitis and
Crohn's disease, both painful intestinal disorders. It works very
well yet avoids all of the irritation associated with many conventional
pain relievers. Boswellia is believed to suppress the proliferating
tissue found in the inflammed areas and also prevents the breakdown
of connective tissue. The mechanism is similar to the action of
non-steroidal groups of anti-arthritic drugs with no side effects,
gastric irritation and ulcerogenic activity. . Many studies conducted
have confirmed that Boswellia Serrata has potent anti-inflammatory
and anti-arthritic activity. Boswellia was found to improve blood
supply to the joints and restore integrity of vessels weakened
by spasm. Boswellia Serrata may also be useful for the treatment
of rheumatoid arthritis with no side effects as those seen with
traditional drugs of choice.
Ingredients: Standardized extract of Boswellia Serrata,
standardized to 65% Boswellic Acid

in Ayurvedic terminology. It increases hemoglobin (red blood count)
and hair melanin.

and musculoskeletal system. Therefore, it is helpful with fatigue
and nervous exhaustion and increases digestive heat in chronic
conditions. In arthritis, which involves joints that are painful,
dry, swollen and inflamed, Ashwagandha would be the herb of choice.
Ashwagandha is effective for insomnia but does not act as a sedative.
Its rejuvenative and nervine properties produce energy which in
turn helps the body to settle and sleep. Thus it helps the body
address a stress related condition rather than masking it with
sedatives.it is aherb that rejuvenates the nervous system and
helps with insomnia and stress.

Ashwagandha is sometimes referred to as the Indian Ginseng. It
is widely used in Ayurveda and is known to help relieve stress,
restore muscle and body tissue, relieve chronic fatigue and aid
in rheumatism. It is commonly used as an aphrodisiac and helps

of 10 horses". Ashwagandha helps the body adapt to stress,
but it also rebuilds the nervous system without stimulating it.
Recent research points out that Ashwagandha may be the best herb
to take for the support of adrenal exhaustion. Many people suffer
from adrenal exhaustion and are misdiagnosed with Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome or simply walk out of the doctors office without any
clear idea as to why they feel so fatigued and stressed all of
the time. Caffeine, nicotine, processed foods and processed sugar
take their toll on the Adrenal glands and leave the victim fatigued,
depressed and often bewildered as to what to do with themselves.
Ashwagandha helps the Adrenals recover quickly to a balanced state
assuming the offending bad habits are stopped.
Ashwagandha is specifically used for a wide range of conditions
including arthritic inflammation, anxiety, insomnia, respiratory
disorders including emphysema, asthma bronchitis and coughs, nervous
disorders, gynecological disorders, especially female and male
infertility and impotence. Ashwagandha is one of the main herbs

Shilajit
Plus
60 vegetarian capsules per bottle 500 mg. each
Source:
Shilajit is obtained from rocks in the Himalayan region. It is
a form of mineral that drips from the cracks of the rocks during
hot weather. It is the decomposition of plant matter in the rocks
from thousands and ten of thousands of years in the past. The
bio transformed plant matter is extruded from the rocks by geothermal
pressures. It is collected in raw form for further purification.
Walking high in the Himalayan Mountains, a thick rich paste oozing
out from the rocks in the towering cliffs is Shilajit. It increases
the core energy responsible for sexual and spiritual power, the
same force that is withered by stress and anxiety. Shilajit is
well known for renewing vitality.
Indications:
Our health is more dependent on minerals than on protein, carbohydrates
or vitamins. Minerals are on every cell of the body and are vital
for our overall mental and physical well being. The body cannot
manufacture any minerals. They must be obtained via diet. Due
to depletion of minerals in the soil and in order to get enough
minerals from the typical diet, we would have to eat more than
we could possibly want to. The majority of the population is deficient
in the 84 minerals required by the body and mind. The inevitable
result is reduced health and longevity.
The ancient medical literature attributes many health benefits
to Shilajit known as the destroyer of weakness. Shilajit has been
used historically for general physical strengthening, anti-aging,
blood sugar stabilization, libido enhancement, injury healing,
urinary tract rejuvenation, enhanced brain function, bone healing,
kidney rejuvenation, immune system strengthening, arthritis, hypertension,
obesity and many other applications for numerous conditions.
Traditionally Shilajit was designed for countering Diabetes,
regulating the blood sugar level, improving pancreas function,
purifying the blood, improving spleen function, strengthening
digestion, improving metabolism, reducing fat, dissolving tumors,
reducing tiredness, counteracting thirst, as a powerful rejuvenator,
and as a sexual enhancer
Chemistry:
The porous fulvic acid and humic acids in Shilajit carry herbal
compounds deeply into the tissues of the body. These porous carrying
cavities also hook toxins and escort them out of the body.
Traditional Uses:
Analysis of Shilajit reveals that it is high in naturally occurring
minerals and elements. Shilajit is Mother Nature's original organic
Colloidal multi-mineral supplement with self assimilation qualities
as compared to inorganic colloidal sources. And yet Shilajit is
much more than colloidal minerals. It has unique properties not
found in any other natural preparation. There is a folk saying
by the indigenous people who live in the Himalayan region that
Shilajit makes the body strong as a rock and there some rock-like
qualities in Shilajit. There is hardly a disease that cannot be
cured or least helped by Shilajit.
Shilajit amplifies the benefits of other herbs by enhancing their
bio-availability. It helps transport nutrients deep into the tissue
and removes deep-seated toxins. Shilajit improves memory and the
ability to handle stress. Shilajit reduces recovery time in muscle,
bone and nerve injuries. Shilajit stimulates the immune system
and reduces chronic fatigue. It is an adaptogen, (Rasayna), that
helps to combat immune disorders, urinary tract disorders, nervous
disorders and sexual dissatisfaction. It promotes strong bones
and heals damaged muscle tissues, and osteoarthritis.
In Sanskrit Shilajit means "conqueror of mountains &
destroyer of weakness". It is used in Ayurveda as an herbal
rejuvenator, nervine tonic and natural stimulator. It has been
shown to be a natural antioxidant and rejuvenator for the nervous
system. It is a natural antioxidant and rejuvenative for the nervous
system. There are very few herbs that are classified as a panacea
but Shilajit is one of them. It will help carry the other herbal
support into the deep tissues of the body. This is why is works
so well on diabetes and insulin resistance - because it carries
the blood sugar into the resistant cells. In the same way it helps
to rejuvenate the body and nervous system on a very deep level.
It is not a stimulant to make you feel more energy - it actually
helps to rebuild the nervous system.
